Jebus finally For years on end, HBO had produced, debuted and presented cutting-edge programming for the mature audience. A recent hit HBO program, True Blood , follows the popular vampire/werewolf fad that has taken over in today’s society. It also follows HBO’s trend of introducing programs that feature graphic and sexual content. But a big change will happen with True Blood if the show gets syndicated like the network hopes. Fans can say goodbye to the kinky sex scenes and frequent stripping of clothes from Oscar-winner Alan Ball if the gore-filled series hits basic cable

According to The Pulse of Radio, the new album from EVANESCENCE, originally slated to come out this fall, now looks like it could get pushed back to a yet-to-be-determined release date. Lead singer and sole original member Amy Lee wrote online, “We’ve taken some time out of the studio to get our heads into the right creative space, work on the songs and even write some more music,” adding, “We’ll be back in the studio recording the album soon enough. I think that it can only be stronger for this extra time we’re putting into it.” Lee also hinted at problems with the band’s label, Wind-Up Records, saying, “My record label has been going through some very uncertain times, as are many record labels, and that’s made things a little unclear ….we really want to make sure the whole machine is working together when it’s time to put out the album.” EVANESCENCE has not released an album since 2006’s “The Open Door”. Lee told The Pulse of Radio in March that she had around 16 songs written for the band’s third effort, saying that she thought taking the extra time was worth it. “I really feel like I’m making the best album of my life,” she said. “I wouldn’t here in the studio, making another record, if I didn’t think it was going to be better than anything I’d ever done.

Lilith Fair Cancels 10 More Dates

The organizers of the 2010 Lilith Fair — initially one of the most-anticipated tours of the summer — have just announced the cancellation of 10 dates: Salt Lake City, Montreal, Raleigh, Charlotte, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Birmingham, Austin, Houston, and Dallas. These cancellations come on the back of previously-announced pulled shows in Nashville and Phoenix, and in the wake of artists like Norah Jones and Kelly Clarkson bailing from one or more scheduled dates on the tour. Meanwhile, the shows that are going on — tonight is the tour’s third night, in Vancouver — are suffering from embarrassingly low attendance, and being moved to venues half the size of the original stops

It seems Microsoft is killing its Kin “social phones” after less than two months on the market. First reported by Gizmodo, the news comes after several weeks of suspicious reports on abysmal Kin sales and just three days after Verizon slashed Kin prices nearly in half. Microsoft, which launched the Kin One and Kin Two in May, did not confirm the discontinuation but sent seattlepi.com the following statement. We have made the decision to focus on our Windows Phone 7 launch and we will not ship KIN in Europe this fall as planned. Additionally, we are integrating our KIN team with the Windows Phone 7 team, incorporating valuable ideas and technologies from KIN into future Windows Phone releases. We will continue to work with Verizon in the U.S
