Stevie Nicks has gotten her groove back. Nine years after her last solo CD, the Fleetwood Mac superstar is deep into her seventh album – which for the first time she is writing with a collaborator, one-time Eurythmic Dave Stewart. Rumors of a romantic liaison notwithstanding, Nicks says it’s the best time she has ever had putting out a CD. “I’ve never before written anything with anybody else,” says the smoky-voiced rock icon. “This is a great opportunity to do something new. Baz Luhrmann films to be released on Blu-Ray October 19th

According to our friend Bill Hunt over at The Digital Bits , FOX is bringing the Baz Luhrmann directed films “ Moulin Rouge! ” (2001) & “ Romeo + Juliet ” (1996) to Blu-ray Disc on October 19th . The releases are stated to include the following bonus materials: “ Moulin Rouge will include an exclusive Spectacular, Spectacular Picture-in-Picture viewing mode with audio commentary (by Baz Luhrmann, Catherine Martin, Donald M. McAlpine and Craig Pearce, and featuring behind-the-scenes footage and stills), the A Creative Adventure featurette, an Introduction by Baz Luhrmann, uncut and unreleased footage (including the Father & Son alternate opening and Nicole Kidman’s first vocal test), 6 production featurettes (The Stars, The Writers, The Design, The Dance, The Music and The Cutting Room), The Making of Moulin Rouge documentary, BD-Live: Live Lookup and more.

That Christmas album that Mariah Carey has been going on about all year has finally gotten a release date, and will hit stores on November 10 . The album will reportedly contain six new songs , covers of some Xmas classics, and a new version of Carey’s iconic “All I Want For Christmas Is You .” The artwork for disc was already shot earlier this year with famed celebrity photographer David LaChapelle. Mimi’s first holiday, Merry Christmas, was released in November of 1994, and went on to sell over 5 million copies in the United States alone, and 12 million worldwide, making it one of the most successful Christmas albums of all time

Technically, it’s his third album, but it’s his major-label debut , since he released two previous efforts on the small Chicago label WuLi Records: 2009’s Slumberland and 2007’s So I’m Told . On those discs, he honed the everyman, sensitive growl that helped him win “Idol,” where his slow and steady rise and humble demeanor catapulted him past season-long favorite Bowersox.
