But when the actress was photographed clubbing in Los Angeles with Cross last night, it appeared she didn’t want to be photographed with him. Despite their protestations they are just friends, Cross, 23, put his hands up in protest as they were photographed together outside the Trousdale nightspot

Peter Doherty & Graham Coxon discuss current issues
Babyshambles’ Peter Doherty and ex-Blur guitarist Graham Coxon, who played on much of Doherty’s solo album, have done an interview for Instigate/Debate discussing issues like the purpose of incarceration, the U.S.’ role in politics, the legalisation of cannabis (surprise: Doherty’s not strongly in favour), and land ownership. Coxon & Doherty will be debating current issues live at a London location in April. Graham Coxon: “Part of me wants to kind of clear America like an old overgrown field that needs the stubble burning and start again. Just keep all the nice Americans somewhere while we do it. I think there’ll be a lot less oxygen being used, a lot less greenhouse gasses.

UK Music chief: ‘Digital Economy Bill will be passed before election’
Interviewed at the South by Southwest conference in Austin, Texas, Feargal Sharkey said: “I think it’s fair to say that there will be a Digital Economy Bill before the general election.” He said the Bill was a vital step in dealing with unauthorised online music sharing, ensuring that the music business would continue to grow online and making sure that the creative industries were properly valued. Sharkey criticised the “scaremongering” surrounding the Bill and dismissed claims that internet users would be disconnected if found guilty of illicit filesharing. He said: “I think it’s astonishing that anybody is still using the word ‘disconnecting’.
