American Idol 9 Top 12 Theme Is The Music Of The Rolling Stones EW has learned that American Idol’s Top 12 contestants will perform the music of the Rolling Stones next week. During an ad break at the top 8 guys performance show, Ryan Seacrest taped a radio promotion in which he mentioned that the first week for the 12 Idol finalists will feature songs by the iconic British rock group. US producer Flying Lotus has said he is hoping to continue his collaboration with Thom Yorke after being picked to support the Radiohead frontman on his US tour. Alkaline Trio Auctioning off guitar for West Memphis 3

An alternative punk band continues to join the fight to free the West Memphis Three. Alkaline Trio will be auctioning an electric guitar used in recording their latest album, to raise money for the defense fund of Damien Echols (who is on death row), Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley, Jr., who were convicted of murdering three eight-year-old boys in 1994. The special Japanese manufactured guitar is a black 2009 Fender HH Jaguar with a Gibson ‘57 Humbucker in the bridge used on most of the recording of THIS ADDICTION and is featured in the photos within the album and has been used (until now) at almost every show thus far on Alkaline Trio’s THIS ADDICTION tour. The guitar is signed by all three-band members; Matt Skiba (vocals, guitar), Derek Grant (drums), and Dan Andriano (vocals, bass).

With the release of Kelly Rowland’s new LP drawing nearer, we have received reliable word that a Chris Brown penned cut titled ‘Geronimo’ will be included on the record. The Los Da Mystro produced track was initially shopped to Rowland’s pal Brandy, however it appears the Destiny’s Child alumni secured it in the end. Speaking on Twitter the pair exchanged the following: KELLY__ROWLAND@Lonnys_world NOT HAPPENING!!!!!! WHAT UP!!!!! I can’t stop listening to “Geronimo”!!!! Lonnys_world@KELLY__ROWLAND OMG!
