Twilight fans have known about Anna Kendrick since day one of the franchise (she plays Bella’s school pal, Jessica) but the rest of the world is now catching on. Last year, she delivered an Oscar-nominated turn opposite George Clooney in ‘Up in the Air’; this week we’ll see her in Edgar Wright’s cult feature, ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs the World’. Now 25, the actress is clearly destined for the big time, with many A-list actors lining up to work with her.

Kate has been tapping the assets of Alexander Skarsgard (he is rumored to like his tricks frail). Us Weekly (print edition) is reporting that Bosworth cheated on Skarsgard last month while visiting her family in Massachusetts. The rag claims she heard the news of Orlando’s engagement to Miranda Kerr and sought comfort in some familiar peen. Instead of being grateful she dodged that baby bullet, Kate jumped on an old high school boyfriend.

Because the world was in need of something particularly soft and precious right now, Nintendo of Japan has released a new trailer for its hyper adorable platformer adventure Kirby’s Epic Yarn. (It’s perfectly acceptable to squeal now.) Diabetics may want to look away, for the latest preview of Kirby’s next game for the Wii is gruesomely sweet. But those who pass on Kirby’s newest video preview will miss out on the pink puffball’s many abilities and a stringy King Dedede. Kirby’s Epic Yarn hits Japan on October 14, just three days before it comes to the Wii in North America. Source This looks so cute and fun, I can’t handle it!

There’s no mistaking it, November 2010 is the month of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I (11/19). No other film comes close to it in terms of anticipation and/or expectation. There may be a few people with little interest in the Harry Potter franchise, but certainly they are in the minority when it comes to audience members that will be checking out the first part of the final two chapters in the Harry Potter saga. This is a franchise that has grossed over $1.7 billion domestically plus an additional $3.7 billion from international markets

Oscar buzz for Portman in ‘Black Swan’

Has Queen Amidala turned to the dark side? Natalie Portman, a paragon of virtue in the Star Wars films and an actress often typecast as the girl next door, is the talk of the town at the Venice Film Festival this week with her racy, gritty role in the ballerina thriller Black Swan. The film is earning early Oscar buzz for Portman, 29, who “hyper-trained” for six months for the extremely physical role, and who shares a steamy lesbian love scene in the movie with actress Mila Kunis. The director, Darren Aronofsky, “talked to me about this [sex] scene in our first meeting eight years ago,” Portman told reporters in Venice, according to Reuters. “He described it as: ‘You’re going to have a sex scene with yourself.’ And I thought that was very interesting, because this movie is in so many ways an exploration of an artist’s ego and that narcissistic sort of attraction to yourself and also repulsion with yourself.” In the movie, Portman plays Nina, a ballerina whose fiery passion for performing causes her to become mentally unhinged. The mental and physical preparation for the role were both grueling for the actress
