Deathly Hallows footage screened at the ShoWest Film Festival

A bunch of lucky muggles got the chance to see around 7 minutes of footage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at the ShoWest Film Festival yesterday. Thankfully it didn’t blow their mains too much, and we have a number of descriptions online to give us an idea of what was shown. Some of the footage was apparently unfinished so it didn’t look as good as it could have, but it seems people enjoyed it nonetheless. First up we have a Twitter reaction from FirstShowing : Yep, just saw the Quiddich arena burning down and Harry flying with Hagrid on his motorcycle – footage from Deathly Hallows. Looks AWESOME! I got chills seeing footage of Voldemort in Deathly Hallows without CG, just Ralph Fiennes with makeup & dots on his face. So frickin’ cool! We saw a lot of him.

Whitney Port Leaves Concrete Jungle for Australian Zoo

Whitney Port is in Australia and her first stop was the Sydney Zoo… naturally. “As soon as we got off the plane the first thing we did was go to the zoo,” says Whitters on her site . “We had heard all about Shuffles, the baby elephant that was born just one week ago and so we were dying to see him. He was the cutest thing ever. Supposedly everyone thought he would be a still-born but he came out healthy and as alive as ever! We stood there looking at him for probably 15-20 minutes.

Rubbery Duckey Jr Showest 2010

Another star who was in Las Vegas last night for ShoWest: A clean-shaven Robert Downey Jr., who looked dapper as he promoted his fall film Due Date. In the comedy, he plays a workaholic whose wife goes into labor with their first child and he’s stuck miles away in a snowstorm. Hilarity ensues as he is forced to hitch a ride with an aspiring actor, played by Zach Galifianakis, to get to her. It’s directed by The Hangover’s Todd Phillips. According to Collider.com, the trailer brought huge laughs – as big as The Hangover got last year. But we’ll see Downey before that – on May 7 – in Iron Man 2

Billboard reports on ONTD’s iamamiwhoami detective work…

Aer weeks of speculation, some keen eyes over at the Oh No They Didn’t blog point to a possible source for the viral “iamamiwhoami” video campaign that mysteriously began appearing in late January. Although the original ONTD thread now appears to be blocked, a series of Live Journal posts suggested that the mystery woman is Swedish singer Jonna Lee. The post was accompanied by video and photographic evidence compiled by the bloggers linking clues from the keyboard she plays to the men who appear in the most recent video. For those who haven’t been following along, here is a recap of what you’ve missed: 1. Seven videos in total have been released, ranging from quirky to creepy to downright gross.
