Victoria Beckham tonight unveiled a new ‘baby’ Range Rover in a bid to turn the mini-off-roader into a fashion icon for a younger generation of customers. The popstar wife of footballer David Beckham, who has her own fashion label, revealed that she has been asked to design the interior of the new Range Rover Evoque – extending the ever-expanding ‘Brand Beckham’ into the world of motoring. The new, smaller and lighter vehicle, to be built at the company’s Halewood plant on Merseyside, will create 1,000 jobs – though an axe does hang over one of the companies other two factories in the West Midlands. On sale from summer 2011 and priced from £30,000 to around £45,000, the Evoque will be the ‘greenest’ Range Rover so far produced. Beckham, wearing a nude asymmetric drape neck dress from her Autumn/Winter 2010 range, was among a host of celebrities invited by Land Rover and fashion magazine Vogue to Kensington Palace’s Orangery in West London for the 40th anniversary of the up-market Range Rover. With his Oscar nomination for The Wrestler and a starring role in Iron Man 2 , Mickey Rourke ’s career is back in full swing. Adding to this momentum is the announcement by Deadline New York that the infamous bad boy has signed on for two films by the lesser of the two Scott brothers, Tony. The first film is being described as a Donnie Brasco style drama about the Hell’s Angels biker gang with Rourke taking on the role of Sonny Barger, the leader of the Oakland organization. Scott has been circling this project since the rights to Barger’s story were sold to Fox in 2000 but only recently has the project begun to pick up steam

The cast of Glee have revealed they are ‘excited’ about wearing Lady GaGa costumes for the an upcoming episode based on the music of the Telephone singer. In the episode, the Glee boys will perform a Kiss track whilst the girls and overly camp Kurt will cover one of GaGa’s hits.
