Who Should Replace Steve Carell on The Office?
June 30, 2010 by admin
Steve Carell addressed rumors this week by confirming them: he will be leaving The Office after the coming season. The stakes are high for NBC, which really didn’t need the hassle. The Office, while showing some signs of age, is still the one show in the peacock’s Thursday comedy lineup that’s truly caught on with audiences, so cancelling it is not a realistic option. Carell will be replaced. The ideal substitute for Michael Scott will be someone who is distinct from Carell, but shares his key comedic attribute: a person who looks like the type who often finds himself running things in his mid-40s, but doesn’t really have the personality that generates respect or fear.

Final characters from Toy Story 3 revealed!
• When asked which character was the most personal contribution of his, Lee Unkrich answered that it was Big Baby. In fact he was wearing a t-shirt with the character’s silhouette when we spoke. • The drawings all over Big Baby’s body are meant to emulate tattoos on a bouncer or another typically large personality. • Big Baby plays a bigger role (no pun intended) than you’d think. Can’t talk about it, but it’s pretty deep. “Your little one will love this lifelike baby doll with his soft, cuddly fabric body and vinyl arms, legs and face

Steve Carell and Tina Fey Entertainment Weekly cover
In Date Night , a comedy in theaters April 9, Tina Fey and Steve Carell play a married couple with kids whose rare romantic evening on the town goes haywire thanks to an epic case of mistaken identity. Instead of sipping fine wine and strolling through Central Park, they flee dirty cops, seek help from a pathologically shirtless weapons expert (played by Mark Wahlberg), and attempt a comically inept routine at a strip club. Naturally, then, one of the first questions we asked the costars was what would happen if their hapless small-screen alter egos, 30 Rock ’s Liz Lemon and The Office ’s Michael Scott, went on a date of their own

The EW article about Jim and Pam

After five seasons of adorably awkward courtship, TV’s cutest couple are finally making it official—and this week’s Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive preview of Jim ( John Krasinski ) and Pam’s ( Jenna Fischer ) long-awaited wedding on October 8. The special hour-long episode of NBC’s The Office is a happy occasion, but one that in TV terms is also fraught with risky finality, since marrying off The Office ’s resident Ross and Rachel could damage the couple’s plot-generating will-they-won’t-they energy
