After playing a kick-ass resistance fighter in TV’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Stephanie Jacobsen moved into Melrose Place as Lauren Yung — a med student who moonlights as a prostitute. How fun is it to play her? Oh, it’s great. I kind of feel this character I’ve been given is an actress’ dream, because she’s a self-contained dichotomy: On the one hand, she’s academic and conscientious — and on the other hand [laughs], she is selling her body. So it’s very challenging and rewarding.

Nicola Roberts proved quite the foxy lady as she hit London’s Mayfair Hotel last night. The Girls Aloud singer has become famous for experimenting with her style and she didn’t disappoint as she stepped out in a bold two-piece burnt orange suit. While she was no doubt aiming for glamorous 70s retro feel, it came off looking a little like she’d borrowed the outfit from Wes Anderson’s upcoming film, Fantastic Mr Fox. In a true display of colour co-ordination, the tweed ensemble even matched her shock of ginger hair
