Glee Drops Coach Tanaka

Glee is parting ways with actor Patrick Gallagher, who is not expected to reprise his role as football coach Ken Tanaka in the smash series’ sophomore season. Earlier, I announced that the Fox musical comedy would be introducing actress Dot Jones as William McKinley High’s new football coach, Shannon Beiste. Now I can tell you that she will not be assisting Coach Tanaka, but replacing him.

‘Free Lindsay’ Rally to Hit NYC Tomorrow

Tomorrow, here in NYC, fans of Lindsay Lohan are supposed to (it’s hard to find definitive proof on the matter at this time, other than an email we received) attend a “Free Lindsay” rally tomorrow to support the “troubled starlet.” It will be hosted by James Oliver of Beach Bum Tanning Salon, who is primarily responsible for keeping the Lohan family so well sunned. The ceremony will begin with a press conference, and a ribbon will be tied around a building on 7th avenue that will say, “We love you Lindsay! Come home soon.” How’s that for ripping off the work of Christo and Jean-Claude so elegantly? Beach Bum also held a similar event for Paris Hilton when she spent part of 2007 in jail for a DUI sentence, but this one is bound to be more relevant because nobody really cares about Paris Hilton anymore. The Beach Bums hope their “campaign” will “draw awareness to the harsh punishment inflicted on Lohan due to her celebrity status and that she will be released from jail before her 90 day sentence reaches completion.” We already know that she will, in fact, most likely be released early because she’s not a child rapist or a mother murderer.

Casey Affleck Sued for Sexual Harassment

One of the producers on the Joaquin Phoenix documentary Casey Affleck directed last year is suing him for $2 million claiming sexual harassment, E!Online reports. Amanda White filed her lawsuit early Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court. White alleges that in addition to enduring “uninvited and unwelcome sexual advances in the workplace” throughout the making of ‘I’m Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix,’ she also wasn’t paid for her work as a producer. “Affleck repeatedly referred to women as ‘cows’; he discussed his sexual exploits and those of other celebrities that he allegedly witnessed; and asked [White], after learning her age, ‘Isn’t it about time you get pregnant?’” the suit states. The producer also claims that while the group was filming in Costa Rica, she wasn’t able to go to her room one night because Affleck and Phoenix were in it with two women.
