Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Scarlett Johansson may soon be lending their talents to a “zombie comedy.” Pajiba is reporting that the two are “loosely attached” to Breathers: A Zombie’s Lament based on S.G. Browne’s 2009 novel of the same name. Currently, Diablo Cody is set to produce the script by Geoff Latulippe . Per the report, Latulippe’s script is being circulated to potential directors as I type, meaning Gordon-Levitt and Johansson’s involvement may be either confirmed or denied sooner rather than later. Browne’s novel is described as a romantic comedy about a dead man named Andy who finds himself brought back to life as a middle-aged zombie.

Michael Jackson Zombie Moonwalks Away From Plants Vs. Zombies

After more than a year spent dancing into our hearts and gardens, objections from the King of Pop’s estate cause PopCap Games to replace the killer Michael Jackson lookalike in Plants Vs. Zombies. The Dancing Zombie in Plants Vs. Zombies will forever remain the Michael Jackson Zombie in my heart, even if plans are currently underway to replace him in all versions of the game with a disco-themed imposter

Mischa Barton And Henry Holland: Bang Buddies They’ve just made it onto the new couple radar, and Mischa Barton and Henry Holland were spotted enjoying an evening out together last night (July 22). The “Beautiful Life” actress and her hunky beau headed over to the Fifth Floor Restaurant in London, England for the launch of the new Marc Jacobs fragrance Bang. And of course, Mischa was all about hamming it up for the cameras, planting a smooch on gal pal Jaime Winstone’s cheek. Miss Barton was dressed to impress in an understated black, taupe, and denim dress teamed with a pair of black heels. Source

Brad Pitt is now officially tied to star in a zombie movie. “World War Z” isn’t the only zombie story from author Max Brooks headed for the big screen — both “The Zombie Survival Guide” and “The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks” graphic novel have also been optioned for adaptation. While chatting up Brooks at the Avatar Press booth, the writer confirmed to MTV News that the adaption of his novel about the zombie apocalypse is not only moving forward, but Brad Pitt is now officially attached to star in the film. Additionally, Brooks revealed that Paramount has optioned the movie rights to “Zombie Survival Guide” and “Recorded Attacks.” Yes, Comic-Con is barely underway in San Diego and we already have some big news from the show floor! Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment first secured the rights to “World War Z” back in 2007 after a bidding war with Leonardo DiCaprio’s company, Appian Way. The actor has long been rumored as a potential lead for the film, but Brooks received the call confirming Pitt’s attachment (and the other “Survival Guide” deals) while signing copies of the books at the Avatar booth tonight (Wednesday, July 21) during Preview Night at Comic-Con
